Several years before Sam and Jordan actually met, their parents were good friends. The Franks and Nichols both belong to The Legends Club and because of that, Sam played several rounds of golf with Jeff and Ben (Jordan's dad and brother) and Jordan played a few rounds of golf and shared a few meals with Joel and Lisa (Sam's parents). As fate would have it, Sam was in town and on the tee sheet ready to play with Jeff, Scott (another family friend), and Ben at the Legend at Bristlecone. Ben decided not to play, so Jeff asked Jordan to play in his place. Sam shot a 62 that day and Jordan came home drunk from all the birdie juice. They exchanged numbers and the rest was history.

January 2024 marked the first of many trips to Arizona to escape the cold and visit Sam.

Sam pulled off the ultimate surprise and proposed where it all started--on the first tee at The Legend at Bristlecone.
